What it is:
A reaction to food is an abnormal response in the gastrointestinal tract that can occur for different reasons. The food sensitivity test I use can detect responses which are associated with 3 different responses: a true allergic response that is mediated by an IgE response, a delayed allergic response that is mediated by an IgG response and immune complexes. This test is unique in that it can detect all three classes of IgE, IgG and complement which results in higher sensitivity.
Why it is important:
A food sensitivity test can identify if foods you are often eating are contributing to inflammation that may be causing some of your symptoms. Symptoms associated with food sensitivity include fatigue, insomnia, digestive disturbances, malabsorption, skin issues, and decreased immune function. Removing these triggers can give your immune system a break from the attack and allow it to start the process of healing.
Lab Results Interpretation:
The Dunwoody Food Sensitivity Test lab report is written in highly scientific language that many people find difficult to read let alone understand. If you desire to have your results interpreted (which is highly recommended), the interpretation can be ordered separately by adding the product “Complete Lab Report” which is available in the store. My lab reports come in easy to understand language. They are very thorough and cover every aspect of the test.
